This session will cover the areas of housing and homes that are apart of the Environmental Public Health Services (EPHS) branch of Indigenous Services Canada program delivery. The EPHS program focuses on the health of the community as it relates to housing and the residents of a home in order to promote the best health outcomes possible. Areas include housing design, ventilation, indoor air quality, mould, pest control, drinking water, sewage, structural defects, fire safety and communicable disease control.

Scott Christie is a certified Public Health Inspector with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors. He has 10 years of experience in the field, working both in Northern British Columbia and Northern Ontario. He is currently based out of Thunder Bay, located on the traditional lands of the Fort William First Nation, Signatory to the Robinson Superior Treaty of 1850. He is currently employed by Indigenous Services Canada as a Environmental Public Health Inspector.
