Tendering is a very important phase of a typical construction project. It is used by public agencies and private owners to get competitive prices for the construction of buildings and infrastructure. The presentation will provide guidance for the tendering process including reference documents from INAC and construction organizations.
Jim Taylor, P. Eng. is a retired engineer who worked with First Nations for 33 years in a variety of capacities with a strong emphasis on project management. He spent 13 years with the Cree of Quebec living and working directly in their First Nations as they developed modern infrastructure systems. Jim, as quality assurance engineer, was one of the first employees of OFNTSC and worked from the Thunder Bay office. He has presented a variety of topics at the annual OFNTSC conferences.
